Cool Butterflies Butterfly shop is a division of Loxly Gallery:
Loxly Gallery is an online showcase developed by photographer and digital artist Deborah Carney. For years she dreamed of having a brick and mortar gallery, at one point while living on Washington Square Park in New York City there was an empty storefront that would have been perfect that she and her son walked by everyday, planning how it would work and look. At the time it was logistically unfeasible.
Deborah exhibited in small galleries in her home town of Rochester, New York and made sales to local hotels featuring her photography of local scenes. But the dream of a gallery never died. Then the internet began to explode. Showcasing her work on sites that gave artists areas to sell their work was ok, but still not quite right. In talking to artists and photographers over the past several years it became clear that marketing online was something that still wasn't being done the way they wanted it to be.
After working with other online galleries and talking to photographers and artists about what they want and need from an online gallery, Loxly Gallery was born. Featuring art, digital art and photography from a range of artists we strive to make the shopping experience a successful one, for the shopper and for the artist. We want to make the shopper able to find what they are looking for, unique art and photography that isn't available at the department store. We want the photographers and artists to be able present their art their way, showcasing it the way it was intended.
Cool Butterflies is one of the niche sites developed to showcase specific art and photography by our artists and photographers. Setting up this site allows shoppers to find the best Butterfly art and photography without getting distracted by other art they aren't looking for.
